Tommi Tommi 'tntnet' Mäkitalo

Tommi wrote the first open source reader application for the Zeno File Format which was introduced by Directmedia with the Wikipedia DVD 2005/2006, called TntZenoReader. Since then Tommi is involved in the improvement of the file format and the toolchain to create ZIM files.

He is a founding member of the openZIM project and main developer of openZIM and Tntnet.

Kelson Emmanuel 'Kelson' Engelhart

Emmanuel was involved in the release of the Wikipedia-on-DVD in France with the Kiwix project. After he learned from the first Zeno implementation he brought in a lot of new ideas, especially in the field of compression, indexing and searching.

He is a founding member of the openZIM project and developer of the Kiwix reader software.

Josch Johannes 'josch' Schauer

josch was looking for a solution to bring Wikipedia onto the OpenMoko mobile phones.

He is a founding member of the openZIM project and developer of the pyneo python/dbus stack for Linux smartphones.

He supplies the toolchain and processing power to generate optimized XHTML out of wikipedia sql dumps.

80686 Manuel '80686' Schneider

Manuel was in charge distributing the Wikipedia DVDs when he first meet Tommi and convinced him to write an open source Zeno reader using his Tntnet software. As a member he managed to get funds from Wikimedia CH to run a server for the openZIM project and organise developer meetings.

He is a founding member of the openZIM project and member of Wikimedia Deutschland and Wikimedia CH.
